- What is the difference between employee and independent contractor? Employee you will get benefits, have taxes withheld and have a schedule. Independent Contractor you won't have benefits, you will have to with hold your own taxes, and you can usually work as little or much as you like.
- What are warning signs of scams? There a lot of work at home scams. Watch out for things like: Paying to join, unrealistic earning; especially without LEGIT proof, The words "Free or discounted price today only", a lot of misspelled words, processing/stuffing emails/ envelopes is also a SCAM!
- Does a background fee mean the company is a scam? No, absolutely not! The ones who are legit you usually will be offered the job before having to pay.
- Websites to search for work at home? Freelancer.com, oDesk.com, Indeed.com, Zip Recruiter.com, Upwork.com, Flexjobs.com and even Craigslist. Please beware even scams get into these sites also!
- Is work at home for me? Well, this all depends on the person. Do you like to have more time with family? Choose your own hours? Have a disability? Be employed with benefits? AND are self-motivated, disciplined, and organized then this is for you!
- What does it take to be a website tester? No experience is usually required, BUT you will need to download software onto the computer to record your screen.
- What does it take to be a writer? You may not have to have experience, BUT you will have to submit essay/articles that meets certain criteria, so don't be like me and get all the way through just to see the article is not something you can or want to do.
